Bushfire control

Unless advised otherwise, Restricted, Prohibited and Unrestricted periods are for the same periods each year. If you are uncertain if there is a restricted or prohibited period, please contact the Shire of Leonora Office on 08 9037 6044 and we can provide further information. 

Fire Breaks

Bush Fire Regulations require that all breaks and clearances of inflammable materials from land must be done prior to the prohibited burning period.

Restrictive Burning Period

1st to 31st October & 1st to 30th April

Prohibited Burning Time

1st November through to 31st March

Unrestricted Season

1st May to 30th September
